The Selma Voting Rights Movement was one of the pivotal moments in American history. Under the banner of nonviolence, this people's movement changed American public policy, leading to the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

The Jubilee Film Festival commemorates this movement by featuring films about the Civil Rights Movement and contemporary issues of concern to a new generation of Freedom Fighters.
